The Guideway Labourer will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the following projects:
- LIM Lowering and Guideway Cleaning
Responsibilities:
The Guideway Labourer will assist Technicians or Servicepersons with:
- Preparing and organizing material for repair and maintenance;
- Moving equipment or parts to and from the job site;
- Maintaining and repairing Guideway components as per instruction from Project Leaders;
- Providing basic assistance to Guideway Technicians in the field repairs and pre-commissioning of the system components; and
- Monitoring outside Contractors to ensure personnel, equipment and system safety.

Qualifications:
- Grade 10 or equivalent;
- Possession of a valid BC Class 5 Driver's License;
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in fabrication or assembly shop environment; and
- Experience using hand and small power tools is required.

The Guideway Serviceperson will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the following projects:
- LIM Lowering and Guideway Cleaning
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Guideway Supervisor, the Serviceperson will assist Technicians in the repair and maintenance of running rail, special trackwork, switch machines, power rails, and reaction rails. As well, the Serviceperson will work independently on the Guideway to perform work which does not affect the overall integrity of the tracks, such as operating railborne equipment, coverboard replacement, and minor repairs.

Qualifications:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent;
- Completion of several years trades training leading toward a relevant Journeyman Trade certificate preferred;
- Minimum of three (3) years mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment;
- Experience working in rail maintenance preferred;
- Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence; and
- Preference will be given to maintenance experience directly related to Guideway maintenance.

Responsibilities:
- Transports goods to and from vendors using assigned vehicle(s), and moves other material as required between various BCRTC locations. Assists Storeskeepers when available and required.

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid class 5 B.C. driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Completion of Defensive Driving Course
- Experience with material handling and dealing with the public is preferred
- Knowledge of Greater Vancouver streets
- Must be bondable
- Must be physically able to perform lifting/loading
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience in a similar position
